Event Details
Each year at the AMAP Annual Conference & Workshop, AMAP provides a unique Educational workshop to learn about or refresh their knowledge on a variety of topics related to modified asphalt. For our 3rd year, AMAP is taking the March Educational Workshop “on the road” to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Workshop speakers are industry-recognized experts who are excited to share their expertise with the community.
The AMAP Workshop is intended for:
- Contractors
- Suppliers
- DOTs
- Agencies
- Lab personnel
- Students
- Anyone with an interest in modified asphalt
The key motivation for bringing the Annual Workshop more locally is to offer this experience to professionals in the industry who typically would not have the opportunity to travel to the annual meeting. If you work with modified asphalt, are considering using modified asphalt, or just want to expand your knowledge of modified asphalt, then the AMAP March Educational Workshop offers an excellent opportunity to learn from and network with industry professionals.
A range of topics related to modified asphalt will be covered during the workshop, including:
- Regional Perspective: Learn about topics related to modified asphalt that are specifically relevant to the region.
- Asphalt and Modifier Chemistry: Learn about the variety of modifier types and options and how modifiers are designed to be "fit for purpose" to provide a specific benefit to asphalt.
- Modified Asphalt Testing and Performance: Learn the what, how, and why of evaluating modified asphalt.
- Using Modified Asphalt: Learn practical considerations for preparing and handling of modified asphalt and mixes prepared from modified asphalt.
Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will also be provided for those attending the Workshop.
