Lab Technician

Job Duties/Responsibilities Take samples of asphalt emulsions and binders from storage tanks for testing. Perform testing on asphalt emulsions and binders in accordance with standard methods and practices as directed. Thoroughly document work performed in the lab by completing test records and recording results in an electronic data system and / or generating test reports as required. Perform cleaning duties including cleaning of glassware, lab equipment and lab environment as needed. Work collaboratively with and provide support to other technicians in the lab and occasionally plant personnel and operations to help meet goals and objectives set by management. Always work in a safe and responsible manner Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Higher education or lab experience considered a plus. Good organizational skills. Good communication skills. Self-motivated and can complete duties in a self-directed manner without supervision. The ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines simultaneously. Able to learn and follow written methods and procedures, and document demonstrated procedures so they can be followed and performed. Knowledge of or experience following ASTM, AASHTO or other standardized testing methods considered a plus. Valid drivers license. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

As a Binder Specialist, you will serve as an integral part of the Pavement Technologies technical service and product development team providing support to our customers, as well as to our sales, production and plant operations groups.

Design Engineer

The Design Engineer is responsible for all equipment-related changes, updates, testing, bid specifications, product manual updates, and maintaining existing product lines. The position will use 2D and 3D CAD Modeling software to update mechanical designs and drawings/schematics using verbal instructions, customer specifications, sales and customer feedback and other Engineering data. • Must possess a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent from a minimum of 2 years in college or trade school, but 4 years is preferred. • Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical design and application within a related industry. • Minimum 3 years experience with 3D CAD software creating solids, assemblies and engineering drawings. Solid Edge is preferred. • Must have experience with GD&T and ANSI drawing standards. Must have 3 years experience with design for fabrication and be familiar with welding and various assembly procedures. Must have experience with ERP or MRP software, preferably SAP.
